ClientGen for Claude

Documentation

What it does

ClientGen for Claude is a connector (an MCP server) that puts the all-in-one marketing kit inside Claude. It gives Claude access to your approved ClientGen templates, your mailing list, your campaign calendar, and your orders, and lets Claude draft postcards, handwritten notes, and digital ads for you to approve. Claude drafts for free. ClientGen does what Claude cannot: print, pen, gift, ad spend, hosted RSVP, and the write-once record.

What is in the kit

Plan

$490 a year list. Pieces a la carte.

Pieces are billed only when a piece ships, a gift goes out, or an ad places. ClientGen charges per advisor seat, per piece, and per record, never per lead, per appointment, per client, or on assets.

Setup

  1. Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, or Claude Cowork on a Team or Enterprise plan (Pro and Max also work for the connector).
  2. Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector. URL: https://mcp.clientgen.app/mcp
  3. Sign in with your ClientGen work email and the 6-digit code we email you.

A Cowork plugin with guided workflows (/postcard, /handwritten-note, /digital-ad, /campaign-week, /marketing-compliance) is built and will be installable once its repository is public. Until then the custom connector above is the install path, and every workflow works from a plain prompt.

Where it runs

Claude today. ChatGPT next. No rebuild: the connector is host-agnostic, so the same server, the same templates, and the same record serve both.

Example prompts

Demo accounts have a small monthly cap; ask ClientGen to raise it for a live pilot.

Tools

ToolTypeWhat it does
get_brand_profilereadYour firm, disclosures, return address, tone rules, and the firm's gift cap.
list_templates, get_templatereadApproved, unexpired postcard, note, and ad templates with prices.
add_recipientswriteAdd people from a list you provide (pasted, dictated, or a CSV), with the source of the list and your attestation that you have permission to mail them. Duplicates skipped.
update_recipientwriteCorrect a recipient's name, address, email, phone, kind, or tags.
remove_recipientswriteTake people off your list. Past orders and archive records are unaffected.
unsuppress_recipientwriteLifts a firm-wide suppression on a household. Firm admins only, with a reason and their own confirmation words, recorded on the compliance record.
search_recipients, get_recipientreadYour list. Do-not-contact, suppressed, and removed records are never returned.
get_campaign_calendarreadPlanned and in-progress campaigns.
list_orders, get_orderreadOrder history, previews, prices, status.
draft_postcard, draft_handwritten_note, draft_household_adwriteCreate a draft order with preview and price. Household ads need at least 50 distinct mailable households from your own list. Nothing is sent.
approve_orderwriteStages a draft for fulfillment and emails you a one-click confirmation link. Claude calls this only after you explicitly approve the preview and price; nothing proceeds until you click the link.
cancel_orderwriteCancels a draft, staged, or approved order that has not shipped.
submit_for_reviewwriteSends a draft order to the firm's compliance review queue. The ticket is bound to the exact text.
get_review_status, list_reviewsreadThe reviewer's decision, name, and notes, returned as data.
get_archive_record, list_archivereadThe write-once books-and-records entry written at every approval.
log_activitywriteNotes and status changes on a recipient.

Limits

Your brand

Every piece goes out in your name, your logo, and your colors. Self-serve brand setup is coming: you will upload the logo, pick the colors, and enter the contact details yourself, with no design desk in the loop, and an automated QA pass will check resolution, contrast, and the required disclosures before the brand goes live. Until then, ClientGen loads your brand profile for you and Claude reads it with get_brand_profile. Branding has two layers: the IMO or firm mark, and the advisor's own DBA under it, so a Pinnacle advisor's postcard carries both. Templates stay locked. Claude fills only the slots the template exposes (your message, the recipient, the date, the signature block); it cannot move, restyle, or rewrite the template itself. Branding never replaces compliance review: a branded piece goes through the same pre-check, the same reviewer queue when your firm requires it, and the same record as any other.

Your pagecoming

Every kit can include a branded personal page reached by QR code or link from the printed piece. The page does three jobs: RSVP to an event, reply to the advisor, or book a call. It follows the same rules as a printed piece: the same preview before anything goes out, the same review when your firm requires it, and the same write-once record.

Your admin desk

Sign in at /app with the same emailed code as everywhere else in the connector. From there: the activity timeline (every order, review decision, and list change, newest first) and the order page (the piece as produced, who approved it in their own words, the click that confirmed it, the reviewer's decision, and the list's source and permission statement behind that order). A compliance package export (a chosen date range of your firm's write-once records, packaged for your examiner) is coming to the admin desk; today your firm's reviewer can already pull that same range as a CSV from the reviewer portal. The admin desk is read-only. It never composes or sends anything; that stays in Claude.

Compliance

Template copy is fixed and pre-approved. Your personal message is linted for promissory and performance language at draft time, and the Cowork plugin runs a fuller SEC Marketing Rule and FINRA 2210 pre-check. An empty result from that pre-check means no automated flags found; it is not a compliance review, and it is never presented as "clear" or "passed". A dual-registrant or broker-dealer firm requires a reviewed, approved ticket before any send regardless of any other setting, and any flagged draft needs one too, at every firm. Every tool call is logged with a timestamp and a hash of its arguments. Nothing is mailed or placed without your approval in the conversation and your click on the emailed confirmation link.
